Structure of the NetworkAbout us
EMIL is a network of individuals and organisations that have experience or interest in intergenerational, adult, lifelong, later life and intercultural learning throughout Europe. In order to maximize, and benefit from, the expertise and experience of individuals working on national and European projects, the network is based on a collaborative and cooperative approach. Through this collaboration, access to other existing networks in Europe and worldwide is made possible. The emphasis of EMIL is different to many other EU projects as it is dependent on members in their respective countries creating a network that works for them. For a full list of all EMIL members visit our members page.
EMIL is coordinated by a small management team representative of its members. In addition there is a Conference Planning Committee responsible for EMIL’s 2012 European Conference as part of our celebration of the European Year on Active Ageing & Intergenerational Solidarity.
EMIL is funded by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and hosted by the Beth Johnson Foundation.
